Allan Bromley and Anne Mitchell Wedding

The wedding of Allan Bromley and Anne Mitchell, 15 April 2000, under the Jacaranda Tree, Law Quadarangle of Sydney University.

From left: Jamie Kassler, Yokelin Foo, Allan Bromley, Anne Mitchell, Norman Foo, Michael Kassler.

Allan is one of Norman's buddies, and his colleague in Sydney University until Norman moved to UNSW. Both share an intense passion for science, and strangely, also in matters of the spirit. And both are missionaries for old fashioned scholarship. Allan is a local intellectual surrogate for Norman's cobbers Jim Croll and Young Tay who live in England. Yokelin never tires of recounting what an inspired teacher Allan is, for even she understood his explanation to (then) little 5 year old Kerwyn about why the moon appears crescent. Anne is Sydney University's information officer, great foil for Allan.

Michael is a robotics and computer consultant, and Jamie is a musicologist. They are transplanted Yanks, and very unlike default Yanks, they are very cultured and civilised. They are close family friends of the Foos.
