Carol,
I too have been hearing flocks of Silvereyes flying overhead in the darkness
of pre-dawn. There's quite a few Silvereyes hanging around here too, and
all of them seem to be the brown-buff sided birds (race lateralis that
breeds in Bass Strait and sthn. Vic.) But not many honeyeaters of any sort
in my part of the valley just now.
