Evening all,
A casual evening stroll can sometimes be quite rewarding.
It's lovely and cool this evening, so we decided on a late stroll into Pennant Hills Park, off Day Road, Cheltenham (northwest Sydney). The light was golden and everything appeared so fresh, esp. after some very hot days.

Lots of S-c. Cockatoos and Rainbow Lorikeets of course, but a Roller (Dollarbird) showed off, a Whipbird called, Eastern Yellow Robin and a White-throated Treecreeper said hello, Brown Thornbills, New Holland Honeyeaters and a Grey Fantail were busy, and - a first in this area for us - a pair of Leaden Flycatchers hawked!
In the gloaming, a Boobook flew overhead.

Cheers,
Peter and Penny Madvig
Beecroft
