A small aside ...
Yesterday whilst visiting the Mercy Hospital in East Melbourne (a few
hundred metres east of the CBD), I heard a Brown Thornbill warbling away
in a scungy looking pinoak in an even scungier, un-scrubby garden. This
was in Grey Street, between the hospitals.
Hardly big time range extension!! - but it would be the closest I've
seen Brown Thornbill to the CBD - and I'm curious to know if the regular
CBD workers know of others, eg. Fitzroy Gardens?? I presume they must
be there ....
