Reptiles is easy, Steve Wilson's "Complete Guide to Australian
Reptiles" is a great reference that I would never be without while
herping. You might also consider Barbara Triggs "Scats, Tracks, and
Other Traces". It's another mammals book, but covers how to identify
them without having to see them. Useful particularly in sandy regions
where tracks are easy to see. I'm still looking for a good frog book,
but you're unlikely to find frogs incidentally while birdwatching.

Regards,
Chris - Brisbane
