Malleefowl in flight

Following on from a recent thread on whether or not malleefowl fly when 
flushed, I was viewing "A Million Acres a Year" [a 2002 film looking at 
the impact of farming in SW WA] when I saw a malleefowl sequence at the 
38 min mark.  Two malleefowl are in a paddock [presumably close to 
dusk] and are flushed by the camera crew.  One bird runs and then flies 
off hard and fast - initially low then climbing after 50+ metres.  The 
fowl's flight was not laboured, as is the case with a brush turkey, but 
with rapid wingbeats - a bit like a pacific black duck.
