It's been a long time since I've posted a message to birding-aus.

We are still in the grip of drought although some areas in the district are
having a wonderful season, having received up to 300 mls. of rain since Xmas
Day. However, in spite of having very little rain here, there are still
plenty of birds, including a Jabiru {lost!} during a few weeks in February.
Last week, some sightings of the Grey Falcon by a few people on 2 occasions.

Black Falcons sighted this week as well. There are a few flocks of
Budgerigars about and all visitors in the last couple of months have seen
Hall's Babblers and C-B Quail Thrush. I'm seeing or hearing Major Mitchell's
every day, and a couple of day ago a few Mulga Parrots in the house yard,
which is pretty unusual.

Hopefully my next message will be to report some beautiful rain.

Cheers,

Julie McLaren
