Description: |
The aim of this project is to combine robotics and speech recognition technologies to create a robot that can converse with you using ordinary speech and natural language. The robotics laboratory has several Pioneer robots that are mobile and equipped with onboard Linux-based computers. They are networked so that they can use off-board processing. We also have powerful speech recognition software. This project will create a conversational agent that allows a user to talk to the robot to give it commands or ask for information. One application is to build a tour guide that can show a visitor around a museum. |
