Description:
There are currently very few programs or games which assess executive functioning (though see Fillit, Simon, Doniger, & Cummings, 2008 for a recent study). This thesis is to design and test simple games which can be used to place varying demands on different executive functions, including
as part of dual task paradigms (e.g., with random number generation), or where participants are asked to try and deduce the strategy used by an opponent in a game, which has been shown to strongly activate some areas which may be involved in theory of mind (e.g., Gallagher, Jack, & Frith, 2001; Rilling et al., 2004).
