Description: |
This project aims to grow mast cells in tissue culture and investigate the glycosaminoglycan structures that are produced by them under various conditions including exposure to the common biomaterial chitosan. We have demonstarted that these cells respond differently to different forms of the chitosan, which is sourced from shell fish adn wish to understand what is happening at the molecular level. | |
