Description: |
Packet classification is used in routers and other network systems to decide what must be done with a packet based on a large set of rules. A new packet classification system has been designed that consumes much less power than previous state of the art designs such as TCAMs. The aim of this project is to produce a GUI-based simulation model of the new systems to visually demonstrate the step-by-step approaches of the algorithms utilised in the new design in a user friendly manner. |
