Description:
Lifestyle search and recommendation is a technique enabling users to search for products over a space more representative of their interests and values (their "lifestyle") than the space of product specifications. A typical system incorporates various modes of navigation in the lifestyle space (search refinement, critiquing and breadcrumbs) and decision support (similar car comparison, explanations and technical specifications).

Previous work has been the implementation of a lifestyle search system in the domain of new cars. This project is to implement a lifestyle search system in another domain such as the residential housing market or news article or movie recommendation, and evaluate the system from a user point of view.
