Description: |
The current UNSW describes courses, plans and programs, but is a static HTML site, generated by a content management system. Many people have noted its limited navigational capabilities, and the fact that it is not well integrated with other systems at UNSW (notably NSS/MyUNSW and Rectangles). The aim of this project is to re-develop the Handbook from the ground up, taking into account the needs of the primary user group: students (both current and potential). The implementation should rely on a database back-end and a dynamically-generated front-ent to ensure that data is up-to-date and can interact with other UNSW systems. The project requires students to follow through the complete software engineering life-cycle, from requirements analysis, design, implementation and evaluation. A successful implementation could serve as a prototype for UNSW to redevelop its Handbook, potentially with *you* as the lead implementor.
Comments: |
Handbook data will be made available, as will synthetic NSS-like data.
