Description: |
The project requires designing an environment for selecting, executing and visualising results of data analysis workflows. The end result is similar to a scientific workflow system but unlike other systems, this one will be much simpler specifically targeted at domain experts working in the analysis of financial market data. The system presumes workflows are already predefined and users can select an appropriate one for the task at hand. The essential requirement is that the system must provide users with easy-to-use functions for workflow execution and exception handling. The system should also support a number of ways results can be inspected and visualised. The underlying platform providing data analysis services has been developed at CSE as part of a research project funded by the Smart Services CRC. All workflows are to be modelled using the Taverna system. The preferred programming environment for the project is Java. |
