Description:
This project will explore the design of future "software defined data centers" inside public cloud. It will use light virtual machine - LXC (http://lxc.sourceforge.net/) and network virtualization (i.e. software defined virtual networks) to define new data centers optimized for agility and highly shared resource environments. Students will be exposed to real world cloud computing platforms, setup and test new software-defined cloud on top of them. Students will be working with senior researchers and other students in a friendly environment.
