Description:
The project will look at how to reduce to cost for users when accessing content through their mobile devices. The work will involve developing an application for Android/IOS devices, which uses some new concepts of caching and peer to peer networking. As part of this project you will gain experience in workload characterisation using a a real life data sets, and Android/IOS development with a group of researchers at NICTA, Australia's Centre of Excellence in ICT Research (www.nicta.com.au). There are also opportunities for paid internships during the winter/summer break and for scholarships for postgraduate studies to continue to work on this topic.
