Description: |
It is relatively easy to devise schemas for projects in database courses. It is harder to come up with a populated database. This project aims to develop a system that can automatically populate a database given the schema plus some other info (such as a name generator). Previous thesis students have attempted this project and produced systems that largely solved the problem BUT whose performance was not good enough to make them usable. You would be expected to undertake both an empirical and analytical analysis of the performance of your solution (considering speed, correctness and completeness). | |
