Description:
You're all no doubt familiar with on-line survey systems (at the very least, you've probably interacted with CATEI). Such systems are an extremely useful way of generating feedback on a whole range of topics (from teaching to new curriculum, etc.) Systems such as SurveyMonkey exist already BUT they hold the data on *their* site. We want to develop a system here that (a) maintains (possibly confidantial) data locally, and (b) understands about various kinds of UNSW people (so that it's easy to set up a survey for a course, or all students enrolled in a given degree, or all staff in a given school, etc.) The system must have a well-designed interface, especially for survey authors, and you must conduct a thorough evaluation of the system.
Comments:
If you aren't going to produce a robust, usable system before week 4 of Thesis B, don't apply for this thesis.
