Getting LaTeX2HTML

  The source code can be obtained at http://cbl.leeds.ac.uk/nikos/tex2html/latex2html.tar. or as a compressed archive at http://cbl.leeds.ac.uk/nikos/tex2html/latex2html.tar-gz The source code is also available via anonymous FTP at ftp://ftp.tex.ac.uk/pub/archive/support/latex2html or ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/packages/infosystems/WWW/tools/translators/latex2html. Other FTP sites nearer to you can be found using Archie at http://hoohoo.ncsa.uiuc.edu/archie.html or http://www.pvv.unit.no/archie/ (faster).

Warning: Some FTP sites may not carry the latest version.

Updates and patches are posted on the LaTeX2HTML server at http://cbl.leeds.ac.uk/nikos/tex2html/doc/latex2html/latex2html.html

If you get the tar version, save it into a file, say latex2html.tar and then extract the files with

% tar xvf latex2html.tar

You should then have the following:

  • A README file.
  • A Changes file.
  • The latex2html Perl program.
  • A   texexpand Perl program gif.
  • A latex2html.config configuration file.
  • An install-test installation and testing Perl script.
  • A dot.latex2html-init sample initialization file.
  • A html.sty style file.
  • A pstogif perl script.
  • Two pstoppm.ps files.
  • A docs/ subdirectory containing a version of this manual.
  • An icons/ subdirectory containing various icons.
  • A styles/ subdirectory containing Perl code for handling some style files.
