Changing Your Default Shell

The default shell for CSE users is bash. To change to another shell:

1. Type chsh at the command prompt
2. Enter your password
3. Enter the name of the shell you wish to use

This new login shell will be available for use the next time you log in. All of the shells mentioned in What is a Shell? (section 3.1, page ) are available.
