CSE Vehicle Facilities
Commencing 2008 Computer Science and Engineering no longer have a school van for use. In place of this previous facility, there are 3 options (in no particular order) available now.
Option 1 Cabcharge
Cabcharge vouchers can be obtained by emailing Joanne Curro for research purposes. A research project funding code will need to be provided to Joanne prior to obtaining a cabcharge voucher.
If the purpose is school related, please email the Executive Officer, Kathy Mitris to obtain a funding code.
Option 2 UNSW Vehicle Hire
UNSW Facilities Management provides fleet vehicles for hire. Information can be found at www.facilities.unsw.edu.au/fleet and select "Pool Hire Vehicles" at the bottom of page or the menu on the left. This page contains all the relative information on how to hire a vehicle and what is required.
It is recommended that you read the Pool Vehicle Hire Procedures, which will explain the conditions of the hire.

S/Wagon – Sedan 8 Seater
1-2 hours $20.00 $30.00
3-4 hours $30.00 $50.00
Full Day $55.00 $85.00
All dealing is directly with Facilities Management and no longer through CSE for this option. You will need to provide a project funding code.
Option 3 Special Loans Vehicle
In 2006, the OCEAN (On Board Communication Entertainment And iNformation) group obtained a RIBG Grant, which funded a vehicle to assist in their research. This vehicle is known as the “OCEAN Vehicle” " and if available, can be booked for a period of up to 4 hours a day.
You will need to complete an on-line request form to seek availability.
A confirmation email will be returned advising your request has been sent successfully. This is email is not a confirmation approval of your request.
An additional email will be sent stipulating if your request has been approved or declined.
