In my research, I want to systematically discuss the origin, development and future of alternative journalistic practice in cyberspace in China.I will focus on some representative ‘new media events’ and ‘popular cybercultural phenomena’ as case studies of how the new digital technology, especially the internet, helps marginalized groups, subculture groups and dissidents have a voice in China.
