Procedure for purchasing print/IP quota

The cost of purchasing print/ IP quota is as follows:
  • Print: $1/ 10 pages (inclusive of GST)
  • IP: $1/ 40MB (inclusive of GST)

Points to note

  • Print quota updates occur instantaneously, whilst IP quota purchases can take several hours to take affect.
  • Purchases must be made in whole dollar amounts.
  • You can only purchase up to the maximum of your allocated session IP quota and no more. For instance, if you are allocated 100MB of IP quota for the session, you can only purchase up to 100MB worth of quota for the entire session.   • No refunds can be made on unused quotas. In the event that an account expiry is imminent, you may elect to transfer the remaining portion of the purchased print quota to another student's CSE account. Further information can be found here.
To increase your print or IP quota, you will need to obtain a copy of the L20R form from the CSE Help Desk.
  1. Please click here to see the numbered L20R form with the corressponding steps.

  2. Select either the Excess IP Quota option and/ or the Excess Print Quota option.
  3. Enter the amount you will be paying under the Amount section on the lower portion of the page.
  4. Complete the POSTING TOTAL section as a combined value of your items.
  5. Take this form along with your money to the University Cashier, located at UNSW map reference C22 (near the Student Centre, NewSouthQ) and make your payment.
Present your receipt to the CSE Help Desk to update your quota.
