Entry Requirements:
at least a three year undergraduate degree equivalent to a standard Australian bachelor degree in science or engineering;
or up to five years work experience in the area of Engineering or Science.
Articulation: Students can apply to articulate from the GradCert (7543) to the GradDip (5543) provided they do not fail any course. Full credit will be granted.
Advanced Standing is possible for up to 50% of the program. Students can seek advanced standing in the following courses only:
Students who would like advanced standing will be required to sit an exemption exam at the commencement of study for all these COMP courses and will be asked to demonstrate that they have a background equivalent to GSOE9820 Project Management (either through formal study or work experience) before credit can be granted in this course. Up to three courses can be substituted for non-CSE courses provided they are relevant to the discipline of Computing & IT. Students with Advanced Standing may not be eligible for substitutions, seek advice from the CSE Student Office before enrolling.
Entry Requirements:
at least a three year undergraduate degree equivalent to a standard Australian bachelor degree in science or engineering that included mathematics up to a two year level; and a high credit average achieved over the final two years of study;
or a three year undergraduate degree equivalent to a standard Australian bachelor degree in a discipline that included Mathematics up to at least year two level; and a high credit average achieved over the final two years of study.
or completion of the Graduate Certificate in Computing.

Project Option
Students are permitted to substitute 12-18uoc in their final semester with a project of equal value provided they meet the following criteria:
- Have completed (or have advanced standing in) 72uoc; and
- Have obtained agreement from a CSE academic supervisor; and
- Have maintained a distinction level performance in the program.
Projects are graded, and students deliver a seminar and submit a written report. More information is available in the Course Outline. Students should seek agreement from a supervisor prior to submitting a Project Nomination form (pdf) to the Postgraduate Coordinator.
