Graduate Diploma in Information Science
The Graduate Diploma programs in Information Science cover the same three areas as the Masters programs, but are coursework only programs.
Students may enrol in one of the three available programs:
units of credit
48 Units of Credit (uc)
typical duration
2 semesters for full-time students or 4 semesters for part-time students.
entry requirements
Candidates for admission to the program should have a degree equivalent to an Australian standard Bachelors degree of at least 3 years in science or engineering or a degree with a mathematical component. Some technical experience eg. programming course is also essential. An average over the final two years of study at credit level is necessary.
Entry to this program is quota based and is very competitive.
Articulation from a GradDipInfSc to the corresponding MInfSc may be possible upon meeting upgrade performance requirements. The Student Office can provide further information on these procedures.
