ABSTRACT:
Ontology has become a very important component in many large-scale applications to provide a semantic framework for the underlying data. The issues pertaining to the ontological relation to the underlying data source, the generation of ontology, the interoperability of ontologies from different domains, are all essential elements in a successful integration of heterogeneous information sources. In this talk, an implementation of converting a relational database to ontology is presented. This implementation uses the referential constraints as the basis to convert database in SQL server 2000 to ontology in Prot?g? 2000.
