Choosing Your Topic

Social Networks Communication Out Of Head

Before you can finalise your enrolment in Thesis Part A, you will need to select a topic that you are interested in, and be accepted by an academic supervisor(s). CSE students are expected to select topics from the CSE Thesis Topic database.

The following links will assist you in this:

Students seeking topics from an external source must seek advice from the CSE Thesis Coordinator.

Once you have selected a suitable topic, you will need to complete a Thesis Nomination Form via myCSE.

See here for the procedure to Change your Topic or Supervisor.

For NICTA-based thesis topics and industry topics, there should be at least one permanent CSE staff member involved in the assessment. For this purpose, CSE conjoints are not considered CSE staff. All assessors are assigned by the CSE Thesis Coordinator based on this policy.
