Dual Award Options

Bachelor of Engineering
Bachelor of Commerce

In the BE BCom dual award, students complete the same single award BE program requirements, except they:

  • are exempt from General Education requirements (12UOC)
  • are exempt from some electives (12UOC) - see handbook page for specific details
  • complete additional units for the BCom, as approved by the Australian School of Business, including a major (96UOC)

Course scheduling may be different because of the need to interleave Commerce coures.

A credit average (65) must be maintained while enrolled in the program or reversion to the single award will be enforced.

Bachelor of Engineering
Bachelor of Science

In the BE BSc dual award, students complete the same single award BE program requirements, except they:

  • are exempt from General Education requirements (12UOC)
  • are exempt from some electives (12UOC) - see handbook page for specific details
  • complete additional units for the BSc, as approved by the Faculty of Science, including a major (96UOC)

Course scheduling may be different to the single award, because of the need to interleave Science courses.

A credit average (65) must be maintained while enrolled in the program or reversion to the single award will be enforced.

Bachelor of Engineering
Bachelor of Arts

In the BE BA dual award, students complete the same single award BE program requirements, except they:

  • are exempt from General Education requirements (12UOC)
  • are exempt from some electives (12UOC) - see handbook page for specific details
  • complete additional units for the BA, as approved by the Faculty of Science, including a major (96UOC)

Course scheduling may be different to the single award, because of the need to interleave Arts courses.

A credit average (65) must be maintained while enrolled in the program or reversion to the single award will be enforced.

Bachelor of Engineering
Bachelor of Law

In the BE LLB dual award, students complete the same single award BE program requirements, except they:

  • are exempt from General Education requirements (12UOC)
  • are exempt from some electives (12UOC) - see handbook page for specific details
  • complete additional units for the LLB, as approved by the Faculty of Law (144UOC)

Course scheduling may be different to the single award, because of the need to interleave Law courses.

A credit average (65) must be maintained while enrolled in the program or reversion to the single award will be enforced.

Bachelor of Engineering (SE)
Master of Biomedical Engineering

In the BE MBiomedE dual award, students complete the same single award BE Software program requirements, except they:

  • are exempt from half the General Education requirements (6UOC)
  • are exempt from some electives (18UOC) - see handbook page for specific details
  • complete additional units for the MBiomedE, as approved by the School of Biomedical Engineering (72UOC).

Course scheduling may be different to the single award, because of the need to interleave Biomedical courses.

A credit average (65) must be maintained while enrolled in the program or reversion to the single award will be enforced.

Bachelor of Engineering
Bachelor of Science (AdvSci/Maths)

In the BE BSc Advanced Science/Maths dual award, students complete the same single award BE program requirements, except they:

  • are exempt from General Education requirements (12UOC)
  • are exempt from some electives (12UOC) - see handbook page for specific details
  • complete additional units for the BSc Adv. Science or Adv. Maths, as approved by the Faculty of Science (144UOC).

Course scheduling may be different to the single award, because of the need to interleave Advanced Science or Advanced Maths courses.

A credit average (65) must be maintained while enrolled in the program or reversion to the single award will be enforced.
