Thesis Part B Assessment

Thesis Part B contributes 90% of the final mark. Thesis Part A contributes the other 10%.

The final thesis mark is computed according to the following:

ThesisAReport = mark out of 5

ThesisASeminar = mark out of 5

ThesisAMark = ThesisAReport + ThesisASeminar

ThesisAGrade = SY, if ThesisAMark >= 5; UN, otherwise

ThesisBReport = mark out of 100, average of Supervisor/Assessor marks

FinalThesisBMark = ThesisBReport*0.9 + ThesisAMark

ThesisBGrade = HD|DN|CR|PS|FL, determined by FinalThesisBMark

ThesisBGrade = UF, if SupervisorMark < 50 and AssessorMark < 50

For example:

ThesisAMark = 7.5, Supervisor's Mark = 70, Assessor's Mark = 65

FinalThesisBMark = 67.5 * 0.9 + 7.5 = 68 (not including late penalty)

where 67.5 is the average of the supervisor and assessor marks for the Thesis B report
