Describing Your Own Work

For a RES thesis:

• state the precise research question
  (very important to state assumptions and limits)
• describe the approach   (what exactly did you do?)
• justify your choice of methods   (why did you do it this way?)
• outline alternatives that were rejected
  (and make clear why they were rejected)
