New Admissions

Entry to programs at UNSW is handled by the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) for local students, or UNSW Direct Admissions for international students. Both school-leavers and those who have undertaken some tertiary studies apply through UAC. The only exceptions are International students not completing the HSC and internal Faculty of Engineering Intenal Program Transfers.

To be suitable for a career in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics or Computer Science you need to have good analytical and abstraction skills. You should have studied Mathematics Extension 1.

A good English result is important for Computer Engineering, Software Engineering and Bioinformatics as computing professionals must document their designs clearly. See program descriptions for information on assumed knowledge.
