Terry was washed into the sea by a king wave and drowned in 1975 while helping a friend with a fourth year university honours zoology project, on a field trip. He was enrolled in botany honours at Sydney Uni at the time, working on a project related to Banksias. He is still remembered by many of us, as a really easy-going, friendly, smart guy and a keen bushwalker and rockclimber.
