The Post-Grad Group is a community of postgraduate students predominantly from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

Activities of the postgraduate group are co-ordinated via the mailing list (see below to subscribe). Messages sent to the list include: notices of social events such as bike rides, BBQ's and dinners. Scholarship notices, queries about research, accommodation and for-sale notices, library information and humour also appear on the list along with the regular announcement of the postgraduate seminar series.

If you would like to contribute ideas or see something on this page please see the Contact Details. Suggestions are always welcome.

If you are waiting for inspiration to strike, ... or waiting for an experiment to finish, . . . or if it all seems too much, you might like to check out The Adventures of Mr Postgrad - one of the stories by Stuart MacGlashan.

 Seminars, Workshops and Presentations

The group has established a series of monthly general interest seminars, to give visitors, fellow students and researchers a brief overview of the field and a general perspective of their involvement in it, rather than a highly detailed explanation of the technicalities of their research.

The seminar program, an initiative of the Post-Grad Group, is also intended to be an enjoyable environment within which to socialise and meet a diverse range of interesting people.

If you wish to present a seminar, please fill in the appropriate seminar proposal form and it will be mailed to the appropriate person.

 E-mailing the Post-Grad Group List

To e-mail the Post-Grad Group List just send your message to post-grad dot pgb.unsw.edu.au

So, if you see an interesting mail item, or want to share an idea with the group go right ahead ... You can of course also send a mail message directly to the sender if you wish.

(A good thing to do is to make up a mail alias called "post-grad" and that saves a lot of time and effort.)
