Assignment 1
Goal: design ER model for movie database (e.g. IMDb)
- spec gave many clues, but also left ambiguities
- DB needs to be able to provide information to UI
Good aspects of Group Discussions so far:
- lively discussions and insightful contributions
- messages often smaller than previous years (Gen SMS?)
Common problems observed in Group ER's
- information loss (e.g. Actor plays Char in Movie)
- inappropriate use of thick lines and arrows
- imprecision in attaching entities to relationships
