Presentation

For laboratory and tutorial students you will be required to provide a presentation of your Assignment work , during your normal laboratory/tutorial time slot. Each group will give a presentation of no more than 10 minutes.

Each student from the group will be required to present some component of the overall presentation.

The purpose of the presentation is for your group to present to the tutorial class the main findings of your design and evaluation work for assignments 2. This will provide feedback from your tutor and peers to help you work on Assignment 3.

Note that we are not asking you to create anything new. The presentation should reflect what you have already done in your assignment submissions (at least up until and including 2.3).

Your presentation should include:

• A brief description of the museum interactive and the target users
• Original ideas and screen mock-ups
• Brief discussion about the techniques used in the early stages
• Interview Experience
  • What techniques did you use?
  • What was uncovered through the interview?
  • How did the interviews enhance/change your design?
• The critique of the design explaining the design decisions that were important
• A review of the crituque outcomes that the group has discovered up until and including 2.3 (or where your group is up to at the point of presentation)
• What did your group learn from the iterative design process?

This is an opportunity to explain to your colleagues the aspects of the design process that your group considers to be effective. You may comment on both the positive and negative aspects of the design process.

An overhead projector will be available in the CHI laboratory. Please make overhead transparencies for your presentation.

10 minutes is a short period of time and you will need to carefully plan what your group will say. The purpose is not to be exhaustive. Highlight the important points that you have uncovered from this assignment.

The number of slides should be no more than 10. If you have 20 then it will be too much. Again, highlight important points.
