14 Oct 2011: Don't forget to do the CATEI survey for COMP9444/9844. To access the system, go to the CATEI portal at https://www.catei.unsw.edu.au login and follow the instructions.
14 Oct 2011: The Lectopia system seems to be malfunctioning in
a different way this week: this time I got the email and I've put up
some URLs and comments on the site, but there doesn't seem to be
any sound. There is video - so they were recording
something. For what it's worth, the URL is
http://lectopia.telt.unsw.edu.au/lectopia/lectopia.lasso?ut=1487&id=113734.
If you have any luck with the sound, please let me know.
Exam period consultation times for Alan and Bill will be announced via this page shortly.
7 Oct 2011: The Lectopia system seems to be malfunctioning: last night I did not get the usual email from lectopia telling me that the recording of the lecture is in place, and this morning the lectopia website is not responding. This may mean that he recording was not made, or possibly just that there will be a delay before it is available.
The CATEI survey for COMP9444/9844 will start on 12 October.
The wow assignment has now been marked.

Neither of these activities is compulsory, and neither is assessed. They are learning resources that you can use or not: your choice.
The class forum seems not to have been working until now. It has now been re-initialised and should be usable.

While you are probably still working on the second assignment, last night I released the third ("wow") assignment in case anybody wants to have a look at it over the mid-session break week.
I noticed that I hadn't posted a consultation hour for this semester in the course intro. My consultation hour is 11-12 on Thursdays. You can also email me any time. I will be available at 11-12 on Thursday of next week (mid-semester break). If you can't make it physically to the consultation hour then maybe you can arrange an appointment for another time, by email, and perhaps you are able to phone during the 11-12 Thursday timeslot.
