CSG DOC is a managed document collection maintained by the Computing Support Group and UNSW/CSE.

All documents can (and should) have metadata associated with them which indicate such things as author, date, expiry etc.

Every section of the collection has a maximum age associated with it, and when documents reach that age, they are automatically marked as OLD and the author or maintainer is sent E-mail to suggest they they check that is it stll up-to-date.

A variety of document formats are supported, and are automattically converted to HTML, which a common look and feel imposed.

Indexes are automatically created for each section and subsection of the collection, so adding a document should be as simple and placing in an appropriate part of the directory tree.

More complete documentation is, or might be, available are systems/csg-doc.
