Meta Data within the CSG DOC Collection

Each document within the CSG DOC collection has a collection of
meta-data associated with it.  Some of this data is collected from the
.docinfo file associated with the document, some is inherited from
.conf files in ancestral directories, and some is extracted from the
document or deduced from other information during the formatting rocess.

The metadata for each page is/will be accessable from that page via a
hyperlink in the footer.

The metadata is format somewhat like mail headers, with a tag, a
colon, and some content.

Some types of meta data are:

  author:  The author of the document - a login name.
  date:    The date the document was written - default to modify time
           of source
  title:   The title of the document, for inclusion in indexes.
  type:    The format of the source document, for determining host to
	   convert to HTML.
  types:   a number of filename patterns and types that may have been
	   used to determine the type of the document. The are
	   inherited from parent directories.
  expires: A date after which the document will not longer appear in
           indexes.
  old-age: the age in days that the document may reach before it os
	   considerered to be OLD, and is marked so in indexes.
  index-age: The maximum age that the docuemt can be before it
	   disappears from indexes.
  authority: username of person who authorised the document if anyone.
