The group cooperates with researchers from other institutions on a number of issues:

The UNSW GELATO project and the world-wide Gelato.org federation. This is funded by HP and a Linkage Grant from the Australian Research Council.
The systems architecture research group at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany, on microkernel implementation
Hermann Härtig's operating systems research group at Dresden University of Technology in Germany, on microkernel-based systems and real-time issues
The IA-64 Linux group at HP Labs on SASOS features for Linux on IA-64
The K42 project at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Hawthorne, USA, on microkernel-based systems
Cisco Wireless Systems on a framework for embedded software controlling IEEE 802.11a implementations.
Broadcom on high-performance kernels for their dual-MIPS-core chips.
Intel and HP who, under the Itanium Donation Program, donated to us US$129k worth of Itanium workstations and servers. These are used for Linux, Mungi and L4 work on Itanium.
