Week 4 Activities

Monday 2pm in OMB 149 will continue the introduction to NXC. Thursday 2 pm in OMB 149 is a lecture on Conceptual Design (the second phase of the design process) (Dym sections 5.1 and 5.2).

Your problem statement should be completed this week. It must be between 500 and 800 words long. The problem statement can be based in the Sumo tournament specification on this web site. Make sure you come back to this page to see how to submit it, once web site problems have been sorted out.

During the lab, you should start building an obstacle avoidance robot, like Hank in the lectures, and get your programming environment setup so that you can write your NXC code, download and run it on your robot.

And don't forget to write in your diary! Your tutor will check it every week. For now, store it on your own computer until the OpenLearning web site is up.
