RoboCup Rescue is an international competition to foster research into intelligent rescue robots. UNSW teams have won the award for best autonomous robot three times. Until now, most of these robots have been very big but a new part of the competition is aimed at developing small robots that can get into confined spaces. Your task is to develop such a robot.
Each project team must evaluate the design challenge set out by the client and prepare a full submission for consideration. Designs will be required to demonstrate engineering quality through their suitability to the task, their simplicity of design, their robustness of construction, and their aesthetic appeal. The designs will be evaluated by the client for all these qualities.

Showcasing outstanding student projects from ENGG1000. Over the past 10-weeks more than a thousand first year students have been hard at work solving one of eleven design challenges.
We've invited some of the best teams to come to share their solutions with the UNSW community, in a live showcase.
This will be a fresh experience for a lot of students, so come and show your support at this informal event. There'll be prizes for the winning teams, including an Overall Winner and a Peoples Choice Award.
Also, some snacks and light refreshments will be provided.
