Please remember to take safety precautions when working on campus in the
evening. There are several free services available to you at such times:
1. Use Unibeat for escorts on or around campus, arranged
through Security Services 9385 6000 (or extension 56000 if making an
internal call) or FreeCall 1800 626 003. This is available to all
students and staff, male and female, between 6pm and 6am every day of
the week including weekends.
2. Unibeat buses also run on weekdays, on and around campus. Timetables
are available from Security Services (including their website
www.security.unsw.edu.au), the CSE Help Desk and on all Unibeat buses.
3. After a request from the CSE student societies to the Head of School,
the Unibeat Shuttle Bus will now also drop off and pick up at
McDonald's, Kingsford.
4. The UNSW Help Points can be used to contact Security Services directly
at any time and are linked to the Campus Video Surveillance System. Use
them to arrange escorts or to find out about Unibeat bus schedules.
Some also allow you to arrange for a taxi.
