CSE Help Desk Student Surveys

The CSE Help Desk conducts a student survey at the close of Session 2 each year for feedback on the following main areas:

  • Time allocation for coursework in the laboratories versus at home.

  • The quality of the computing and printing facilities.

  • The quality of the general working environment.

  • Exposure to, and usefulness of, information resources in the School.

  • The quality of service of the staff support team. (The main focus is on the Help Desk, Student Office, Development Office and SS although there is an opportunity to comment on other groups).

  • Students understanding of their rights and responsibilities as outlined in the Yellow Form.

  • Areas which require improvement to enhance learning at CSE.

Written responses are summarised and weighted means are taken where possible for comparison purposes. All findings have been represented graphically in the results below.

To participate, please look out for an announcement via email to all-students at the end of Session 2 each year.
