The oldest brewery in Australia (established in 1824/1832?), Cascade has used Tasmania's abundance of fresh raw material to produce a range of delightfully refreshing beers. It's now a large national brewer, having bought out its only rival in Tasmania (#Boags) earlier this century. However, it has fallen prey to predatory corporations itself in recent times being first taken over by a New Zealand brewery and then by the omnipresent CUB. Its flagship beer is Cascade Premium Lager.
