Montpellier

Montpellier is a city in the south of France, capital of the Languedoc-Roussillon region, and home to one of the oldest Universities in Europe (founded 1220). The old town is a maze of narrow streets amongst buildings dating from the 15th century, but still in use as shops and homes (e.g. Eric and Imelda's place). The main Cathedral is notable for having a massive entrance porch supported by two rockets (or at least they look like rockets). It's also notable for the Cave de Bière, which has a massive range of 800 beers, including many Belgians, a bit of Sierra Nevada, and even the insane 41% beer from BrewDogs in Scotland. These days, Montepllier is a major university town (read: lots of students) and one of the fastest-growing cities in France.
