What to do if you find that your plan was "wrong"?
- the most likely cause: you tried to do too much
- reduce the scope of the work; discuss with supervisor
- e.g. build a system with less functionality (omit some functions)
- e.g. devise a method that solves a subset of cases
- do not reduce the evaluation of your work
