Appalachian School of Law Shootings http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~lambert/guns/appalachian News Stories in the week after the Appalachian School of Law Shootings en MX (Melbourne, Australia) http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~lambert/guns/appalachian/2002/01/17#221 <p><span class="normal">COLLEGE SHOOTING</span></p> <p><span class="normal">A suspended student shot and killed three people at a law college in Virginia today, including the school&#8217;s dean, and wounded three others.</span></p> <p><span class="normal">Peter Odighizuma, 43, suspended from the Appalachian School of Law early today, was being held in jail in the town of Grundy in connection with the shooting.</span></p> <p><span class="normal">&#8220;He was suspended from school effective today for some unknown reason and came back,&#8221; state police Lieutenant Jason Miles said.</span></p> <p><span class="normal">&#8220;He used a .380 semiautomatic handgun.&#8221;</span></p> <p><span class="normal">Miles said the three people killed were faculty members at the school, but he did not release any names, pending notification of relatives.</span></p> <p><span class="normal">The three wounded all women were flown to hospital in a critical condition.</span></p> <p><span class="normal">&#8220;If they&#8217;re airlifted, it&#8217;s severe,&#8221; Miles said.</span></p> <p><span class="normal"></span></p>
