research area
My research interests includes integration of database and information retrieval technologies (DB + IR), data mining and spatial databases. I am one of the main researchers in the SPARK project .
The topic of my PhD thsis is on keyword search on relational database, and my masters thesis is on skyline computation. I am currently seeking for a job. You may find my resume here.
My supervisor is Prof. Xuemin Lin, and joint supervisor Dr. Wei Wang.

    I was born in Changsha, China in 1981 and lived in the city until I graduated from Central South University of China. I received my Master's degree from University of NSW, Australia in 2004, and stay in the university as a PhD candidate.
    I enjoy literature, philosophy and music. I am also a committee member of Sydney Unitarian Church.
