We are Meicheng and Geoff. We started Magus Boer Goats because we needed a way to control the weeds on our hilly property. The property has an awesome scenery and we wanted to enjoy it. Geoff has recently retired from UNSW and I will be soon in a few years. We wanted to free up our time to pursue our respective hobbies, Geoff with his passion for bushwalking, mapping and night sky watching and me with gardening and more to look forward to. We both work in IT and eager to bring our skills into this venture. The venture became interesting with thoughts of website and software to keep records of bloodlines.
The plan is to build our herd from good quality fullblood boer goats which we can later sell, mostly as pets or lawn mowers. We don't intend to show the goats but we still aim to breed quality goats.
