getSEQ package:annotate R Documentation _Q_u_e_r_i_e_s _t_h_e _N_C_B_I _d_a_t_a_b_a_s_e _t_o _o_b_t_a_i_n _t_h_e _s_e_q_u_e_n_c_e _f_o_r _a _g_i_v_e_n _G_e_n_B_a_n_k _A_c_c_e_s_s_i_o_n _n_u_m_b_e_r _D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n: Given a GenBank Accession number, getSEQ queries the NCBI database for the nucleotide sequence. _U_s_a_g_e: getGI(accNum) getSEQ(gi) _A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s: accNum: 'accNum' a character string for a GenBank Accession number (i.e. M22490) gi: 'gi' a character string or numeric numbers for a GenBank accession number or gi number. A gi number is a series of digits that are assigned consecutively to each sequence record processed by NCBI _D_e_t_a_i_l_s: The NCBI database is queried for the given GenBank Accession number to obtain the nucleotide sequence in FASTA format.
